When not eating, I love to swim.

It was my privilege to create beach portraits for this beautiful family on Panama City Beach, Florida. I love meeting such great people and hope to see them again soon.
Please enjoy their slideshow and the blog photos below.

August 15, 2009 - 8:30 pm - Shaun, We love the photos so much. We had a great time and I appreciate your patience with Trinity. I know she can be a handful sometimes and can be hard to photograph, trust me, I know, I've been taking pictures of her for 8 years now :-), but by allowing her to be herself you were able to get some amazing photos! You are a truly gifted photographer and we will treasure our photos and the experience forever. We will most certainly be calling you when we plan to have more taken. Thanks again!
August 15, 2009 - 9:36 pm - It was my pleasure, Angie. I'm so happy that all of you enjoyed the experience and the photos. Trinity is an adorable force of nature and a lot of fun. I wish you all the best and hope to see you again soon! Enjoy this wonderful time in your lives.
August 31, 2009 - 1:04 pm - Yes, you ARE a truly gifted photographer!!! These are just excellent, Shaun. Excellent. That black and white of Angie on the dune is just amazing--exquisite art. You're so good at capturing intimacy in your images; your images communicate! I always feel like I am a part of that moment every time I view your work. To me, THAT is one of the aspects of your work that differentiates you from the rest of the pack (and a very far distance I might add)!!
A magificient sunset backdrop combined with off-camera location lighting make for a classic beach portrait on Panama City Beach, Florida. And I’m a bit partial to the subject—my gorgeous wife.

This doggie didn’t quite know what to think of his first beach experience.

July 12, 2009 - 12:24 am - Great images, Shaun. I have to say that the first set of legs are nicer than the last set. :)
August 15, 2009 - 10:32 am - Fun images! The legs are nice, but I'm a sucker for reflections and that sunglasses shot is my favorite. :)
Scott and Amanda are two very fun and interesting people — and an even more amazing couple. I really enjoyed doing their engagement session and worked hard to capture their shared chemistry and the beauty of the day.
Speaking of hard work, Amanda is a talented singer/songwriter who has recorded three albums and toured numerous times. I’m a big fan of her music. Check it out at Amanda Garrigues.com.
I offer them a hearty congratulations and can’t wait to photograph their wedding in August!

May 11, 2009 - 10:26 am - Wow, congrats, Amanda!! I saw you play many times in Orlando and Gainesville from 2000 to 2003 or so while I was in college (graduated from UF in 2004). I still adore your songs and listen to them often. Lots of happiness to you and your fiance! And Shaun... beautiful work as always! My favorite images are the first one and the fifth one. :)
May 11, 2009 - 12:15 pm - Hi, there, Gator alumna. :) Amazing how many people Amanda has touched with her music. Glad you like the photos. So great to hear from you, Karen! Love to the family.
May 30, 2009 - 2:33 am - Love the silhouette and the warmth in them all, Shaun. :)
May 30, 2009 - 3:13 am - Glad you enjoyed them, Mark! Thanks for stopping by and letting me know.
We went out for seafood last night (oysters and gumbo), and I captured a few images between bites.

I’m really excited about my new Miata MX-5! It’s a top-down dream that handles like a Formula One racer. I look forward to some enthralling driving adventures.

Riderless Jet Skis wait out the strong storms that brought heavy rain and tornadoes for three days during our trip to visit family in the panhandle.

August 15, 2009 - 1:49 pm - Hi Shaun--I love these images. I have to keep going back to the cloud shot. Amazing!
August 15, 2009 - 9:15 pm - This was definitely a case of right place, right time, right camera. That storm front was amazing. Thanks, Linda!
A Regional Transit System bus hurries toward Century Tower in the heart of the University of Florida campus. Captured with my iPhone camera.

I captured this image on horseback as we were crossing a stream in the Andrew Molera State Park near Big Sur, California. The ride took us through mountain passes, across beautiful meadows, on the edge of steep ravines, and down along a magnificent secluded beach.
