I was delighted to capture this couple’s amazing connection. Enjoy this preview:

In the photo above, Stephanie and Gary enjoy one of their first moments as a married couple. Wonderful light and a diagonal leading line contribute to the drama and beauty of this bridal portrait.
These two are a sweet Arkansas couple who held an intimate beach-house wedding on Navarre Beach with a small group of friends and family. I was happy to capture spontaneous candids and creative portraits of their celebration.
Alex and Emily celebrated their wedding at a wonderful local venue–the Watercolor Inn and Resort. Western Lake Park served as the ceremony location; and the Watercolor Boathouse held the reception. I loved capturing all the emotional family moments during the day, the spectacular sunset portraits on the beach, and the wild and crazy fun at the reception!
I share something significant with Alex and Emily: my wife and I met while attending graduate school in Tallahassee; they also met as students at Florida State! Here’s wishing them a happily ever after–and Go Noles!
Please enjoy the brief selection of photos below. And for a fuller photo essay with more photos, see the slideshow from their event.

Josh and Crystal enjoyed the Christmas season on the beach for their newlywed session in Seaside, Florida. Crystal and Josh are from Illinois and Georgia respectively and have an extraordinary marriage story: an administrative deadline for overseas accompanied tours required that they get married by proxy over the phone! With no opportunity for marriage photos, Crystal commissioned me to create newlywed portraits just before they left the country for their adventure in Okinawa, Japan. They had a lot of fun in Seaside, and it’s always a pleasure for me to see a couple so enamored with each other.

Jeff and Bethany held their ceremony and reception at Kelly Plantation in Destin, Florida, attended by family and friends from Iowa and Wisconsin. It was a beautiful November day in the Florida panhandle, and the temperature was absolutely perfect. Jeff serves the United States as an E-9 (the highest attainable enlisted rank) Army Master Sergeant on active duty. Being a veteran myself, I was glad for the opportunity to serve Jeff as his photographer. Jeff and Bethany share a love of golf and wanted a bridal portrait on the nearby green, so I was happy to oblige! Enjoy a selected essay of photos below and even more in the slideshow.

I love a beautiful fall wedding in the panhandle! And the weather was perfect for this one. The location was Miramar Beach, a town just west of Destin, Florida. The family condo served as the venue for this seaside ceremony. And several family members lent a hand to set up and decorate.
Taylor and Tyler are from Arkansas. So it makes sense that Tyler is an Arkansas Razorback fan. But Taylor cheers for the LSU Tigers, which can make their fall Saturdays really interesting.
While getting ready, they were able to peek at the games: Arkansas carried the day, but LSU couldn’t quite work their magic against the Gators. In the end, the fun of the ball games was eclipsed by the fun of their wedding.

Sergeant Major Hegarty and his beautiful bride Bethany. Very honored to photograph a wedding for outstanding, hard-working enlisted service people. More to come!
